We all knew Kendu Isaacs was on one when he requested Mary J. Blige pay him $129,319 per month in spousal support when their divorce is finalized, and, thankfully, the judge knew that was nonsense too.
Today, Mary was ordered to pay Kendu, whose real name is Martin, $30,000 per month in temporary spousal support, which is still a grip of money, but nothing compared to what her former manager and soon-to-be-ex-husband was asking.
According to TMZ:
“The court found Martin was entitled to some dough to accommodate the standard of living he was used to while married to Mary, but also decided his dream number was unreasonable.
“Mary will also have to pay retroactive spousal support dating back to September … and his attorney fees — that comes to $235k.”
But while this ruling may be good news to Mary, apparently she’s not totally out of the financial woods. TMZ says the courts pointed out Mary and Kendu were living beyond their means while they were married and they still owe millions of dollars in back taxes.
Regardless, from what we’ve seen of Mary lately, she appears to be looking more and more like her “No More Drama” self these days. We’re happy she is closer to closing this chapter of her life and Kendu can go ahead and figure out how to take care of his parents and kids with that $30,000 per month while it lasts.
