(Almost) All Of Your Faves Were Just Nominated For Emmy Awards

While you were busy at work (or not being busy at work), the 2017 Emmy nominations were announced this morning. The shows with the most nominations for the 69th Primetime Emmy Awards include HBO hit Westworld and NBC's Saturday Night Live. If you don't watch these shows and you're wondering what is going on with your actual favorites, you'll be happy to know that quite a few Black actors and actresses and comedians picked up nominations for their work. RuPaul was nominated for Outstanding Host for a Reality/Reality-Competition Program for RuPaul's Drag Race. The show was also nominated for Outstanding Reality Competition. Kamau Bell was nominated in the Outstanding Host for a Reality/Reality-Competition Program for his show United Shades of America With W. And both Black-ish and Atlanta were nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series.
